Thanks,Jeanie ! I think that you and several others are “special” ,also ! I have been so inspired to do more and push myself to create more fun thngs for the garden since finding FMG. I loved creating Linus and Lucy and can’t wait to get them back out. I am going to have to repair his head ,the heat last year bubbled his head . Yes,there will be a time we will meet up !!

When we made the decision to move here from the East coast, I asked the realtor the most important thing, can one garden in the Las Vegas Valley. Yes, one can. But One misses the green roots of the East, Middle, North and South of this wonderful country. Thanks to you, and all the gardeners for never letting me forget.

Thanks for sharing. My new flea market garden addition is an old elementary school desk that my husband took the lid off and I primed, brightly painted both desk and attached chair, and planted it. I planted a split hosta from my hosta garden. Then set the lime and burgundy desk in my hosta garden. It is so cute…maybe an idea for someone. I am a retired teacher and my daughter convinced me to pick up this FIND at our local salvation army store.

Jimmye, Thank you for creating the twin to my bowling ball. That was one of the first things I made. My hubby found the star from one of candle holders. It was a fun project.
The leaves on my dish flowers are from very thin aluminum that we were able to get a few sheets of. I traced the leave pattern on and cut it with tin snips,on on set I wrapped the edges around wire coat hangers using needle nose pliers. This was a time consuming project,I scored veins into each leaf then I sprayed with green paint. I did wear a thick leather glove while doing this and still got cuts on my hands but it was worth it !

You realize you were my first inspiration when I came to FMG… I saw the Star Bowling Ball and challenged myself to make one… and I did… that is the very 1st craft project that I had ever undertaken that required lots of patience and time. I had lots of the latter, just not as much of the former… :)) Once I had accomplished this craft, I got busy with inspirations and encouragement from other FMG’ers… a wonderful group of folks I am glad to call my friends. Thank you again for sharing with all of us & I anxiously await seeing more of your fantastic garden creations… NOW, how did you make the leaves on the dish flower???
