Linda LoBianco’s sink mounted on an old door
Linda LoBianco’s door serves as a whimsical focal point up on a rise in her beautiful flower garden. She framed the door in a rustic frame and attached a vintage ceramic wall sink she can actually use when creating bouquets. In the garden are Sedum ‘Autumn Joy,’ center, and clockwise, yellow and white Yarrow, pink Coneflower, pink Phlox and Moss rose.
My old galvanized sink
I found this old sink by a dumpster at a nursery that was going out of business. I called and asked if it was for sale and soon it was mine! The owners used it for display, but didn’t have room to take it.

Sadly, this sink stayed here for two years!
It sat, moved to our new home and eventually I incorporated into my potting bench redo project.

Once moved to its new spot, the old sink
I had fun outfitting this old sink with many of the ideas I found on Flea Market Gardening using terracotta pots on two shelves, a rusty rake head for a rack and an old Boraxo soap dispenser than reminds me of Grandpa. I found an antique crock to keep tools in.

Vera Diller “This is my double sided sink you can’t hardly see from the flowers. My husband made a stand for it and we just placed the sink in the stand.”
Finding your own garden sink
Look at thrift shops, yard sales and junk yards. Check at Habitat for Humanity and architectural restoration shops. Make sure your friends know you are looking.
