Teeny tiny sheds in a Flea Market garden

Ammie Peters dreamed up the ‘Blossom Shack’ and her husband built it and made her dream come true!  She how she did it and see more terrific, teeny tiny garden structures you can create! Let’s see how she did it.

Finished decorated Blossom Shack

Blossom Shack , being built

So far three walls are up

“My “Blossom Shack ” now has all walls framed up with the logs on them . Openings cut out and framed for Windows to be put in. Hubby just made the barn style door old of some old cedar planks he had..Used my old garden fork/rake as door handle. ..Have to finish putting the porch , roof, and windows on it next…so much love to my Hubby for this!”  Ammie says.

Trying out the porch decoration

How do you decorate a small Blossom Shack…come in and have a look

Will had more old crates on wall for shelving as I find them.  I’ll be using it to store my garden utensils and my bulbs and seeds along with my garden/flowers books and for a little me time

I am on the lookout for a small blue braided rug!!  My mind twirls with ideas for it

Blossom Shack, finished, but un-decorated

Cute, cute, cute!

What’s happening at the Blossom Shack today?

“My Blossom Shack is finished. ..love to my Hubby! Will be decorating and plant flowers bed!  I have it all planned out in my mind for Christmas decorations and now thinking of spring flower beds and junkola.”

Ammie is painting the shed red

“I stole the rusty container from Hubby’s shop for a window box on my Blossom Shack . It has really started to fill in with all the rain we have been receiving. I have sedum planted in a window box that will hang down in grow over a small whiskey

Barrel under the left window .in front of the fence on on right side is a California red calla lily plated with a rusty barrel ring as border. On the left in front of fence is a rhodie (hopefully it will grow and hide light wire ) in the galvanized tub is a bleeding heart bush) under the bird feeder is marigolds and by the fence in old chair is a pansy. Will plant something in front.” Ammie tells us.

Ann Elias’s brother made this tall narrow ‘outhouse’ and took orders for more!

Ann Elias says, “My brothers handy work. He sold the outhouse right away and have orders for two more.  My outhouse finally got a rusty metal roof. Found some panels at the Antique Mall.”

Jeannie Rhodes

Jeannie Rhodes‎ says, “I keep my garden stuff in our decorative outhouse.  This is the view from the back.  What looks like a painting in the photo is actually a mirror that looks like a fake window. We found it at a Habitat for Humanity Store (Restore).  I love mailboxes. I have on by our playhouse, one by the back door and one that’s actually used for mail.”

How Cindy Large’s outhouse comes home

Cindy Large says, “I love the corn bin gazebos, but we don’t have any corn bins here, so I snagged this ‘outhouse’-style homemade shed off of Craigslist, for… are you ready, $50!  The man was asking $100, but when we got there with the trailer, I asked “Can you do better?” “Maybe, $75?”  He said nope, I’ll do $50! And, he gave me five gallons of paint and blocks to set it on!”

I've had an original two seater outhouse for about 25 years, and it is falling apart now, ready for trash I guess, but I wanted to let you all know that the woodchucks, and squirrels loved the outhouse, and were constantly tunneling all around it to get up inside of it. I have had to quit displaying in it because the ground was so soft and collapsable inside and around the base outside. Nothing I did kept the groundhogs/woodchucks from burrowing under it. Stakes, cement pads, wire, yuck, that I will not miss. I have taken off the door to save it, as well as the two hole seat, and plan on cutting the top off to try and use some place. So just beware that animals love their own housing too.....and they can be pesty & damaging.
