Dandi’s ‘Sunny Side Up’ garden

Dandi Gentry’s chicken coop addition!

Come along and see how a chicken coop expands to include ducks, providing ponds, shady play space and lots of fun!

“We’re finished with the chicken coop addition,” Dandi says. “We added a duck run and a shade house, put the heavy metal wire around the bottom, all the way around…and made a door between the 2 sides, chickens and ducks. Overall it turned out pretty good! 🙂 We’re glad it’s finished and we’re going to put a swing on the outside where we can watch them play!”

Dandi’s original coop, an award winning one!

This is the garden side of the coop addition.

“This will just be their ‘lil house for laying eggs and shade”

A nice long run with a pond and a duck house was added on Dandi’s already award winning chicken house design.  We love the bright colors she paints everything….you’ll see!

Sunny Side Up!

Dandi added a handmade sign as a finishing touch.

Dandi used corrugated metal for letters and screwed them on a sunnily painted board. She says, “Later, I moved my sign to over the windows after I took pictures! I decided it would last longer under the eaves.”  We wonder if she’ll be adding pigs and cows to her garden!

How to design and paint a garden sign

“I got my duck’s in a row,” Dandi says, “now what?” Whatever it is, we’ll be watching!
