~~ A Flea Market Gardening ‘My Big Garden Project’~~
Meet the ruler of this roost!
This project just makes us smile…that ‘hairdo!’ Dandi Gentry picked the best theme ever for a chicken coop when she entered this project in our Flea Market Gardening January Project Challenge! When you get invited to a BBQ at Dandi’s house, this rooster rules the roost…and BEEF is served!
Here’s a picture of BarbieQ, a white-crested Polish chicken. He’s a wild one!
Dandi started with an old recycled cabinet
Dandi Gentry says, “This is my January Project, not for the garden,…but for my rooster that lives in the garden! We’re making him a coop because he’s getting a little feisty and he needs a space of his own. We named this “The Chopping Block” and came up with some cute ideas how to decorate it.

Dandy sketched out a drawing and then painted the side panel with a charming poultry portrait. The red and black color combo is fresh and different and the U-Neek old condiment lids, like mayonnaise and barbecue sauce added quirky character and whimsy!

BarbieQ, the wild white-crested Polish rooster, is proud of his new home!
These are BarbieQ offspring lol! They are a mess, Dandi says! Named Trouble 1 and 2…
