Then go on to more and more advanced techniques listed at the bottom here. This is very fun hobby to do with a child and can get addicting!
Barb Rosen from Our Fairfield Home & Garden says, “Make your own fairies or ornaments for free from natural materials found in your garden and yard!”
Melinda Randall is a potter in Fort Worth, Texas and loves making fairy houses and furniture.
Helen Eyers says, “My husband and I made this for my grand daughter. A wire frame was used on a wooden base and wooden front. I adhered the rocks with cement. What you see in this photo is dried moss pressed into the cement but later we found moss growing in the yard, cut out slabs and pressed that on the house. The moss stayed nice until the heat turned it all red.”
Arlene Brenneman says, “Here’s one of many fairy gardens ready for a garden fair this weekend at Quailcrest Farm, Wooster, OH.” Arlene creates and sells her fairy gardens and keeps an album with lots more fairy gardens, junk gardens and toolboxes. She syas, “ 101 planters total! That’s several van loads since they don’t stack too well!! Next week I see the chiropractor!”
