Creating art in a Flea Market garden

By “garden art” we mean the addition of man-made objects to a garden with the intent to accent plantings and beautify the garden. Here is a spotlight on some of the most intriguing and delightful displays of art in the garden. Some are in the eye of the beholder, small, sometimes quirky gems made of one object placed together with another. Together they are genius!

As gardeners, our joy is to create a colorful flower garden, using design, color, and bloom time. It’s true too, that finding just the right piece of Flea Market treasure or lowly ‘found’ object can light up our eyes and plans for a garden accent begin to form. Some of our Flea Market gardeners then make, seemingly out of nothing, a true art piece for the garden that continues to delight us after it’s complete.

Which is more satisfying,…the creating or the displaying?
