Little Shop Antiques for a Spring garden

Garden Shed Junktiques from Laura…

The one thing we love just as much as gardening, is antiques and Flea Market shopping!

Laura Goines runs an antique and garden shop on her farm in Southwest Ohio, where she lives with her husband, Randy, a furniture builder. She says, ” I can’t tell you how happy I am with the warm up in weather.  I thought I’d share a couple pictures of my home, my shop and gardens.

The fence has since been taken out, but this is my front garden

Laura tells us, “I do a lot of seasonal artwork for my shop, with rabbits being my number one seller. The big rabbit is by my shop door.”

“The cottage, another shop. It looks old but my husband, Randy, and I made it from salvage.”

Siding planter box Laura made

“The planter box is from old siding and I put some chalkboard paint on the front. I made a bunch of these, can’t wait to get Violas in to plant them.”

The two buildings in the back are two of the three buildings that make up my antique shop

 What beautiful turkeys!

Wild flower garden

“The wild flower garden featuring my poultry. I have no Japanese beetle problem now. They eat them all,” Laura says.

“This trough we saved from a collapsing barn of ours”

“We had a barn collapse on our farm and this metal water trough was above the loft part. It survived the fall except for one end. Luckily my husband was able to fix it. It has no bottom. I am throwing sunflower seeds in it. I hope they sprout.”

Laura’s mother’s shop is next door

Charming potting shed

“I make the hearts and wings out of old ceiling tin”
