Garden cottage dreaming…we asked you:
…….For what would you use this space…potting shed,…writing studio,..cozy craft room?
…What would you plant on the arbor? In the little beds? Your little room….
Here are the results of our dreaming awhile ago…
We liked Nolan Beauchamp’s dream: “I would plant Syrah grapes on the arbor. Two elderberries in the beds some blueberries , currents, and strawberry. There would be a stream flowing under the bridge recycled from the pond. Some prisms hanging for reflecting sunlight. Some flowers for hummingbirds.”
Mick Ofield’s dream motorcycle garage
a place for Katrina Lounsbury’s collectibles
Shelley Novotny from JunkArta redid her shed just right
Clip and save this for your OWN dream…maybe one day it will be reality….make it happen!
Shedstore has just launched a creative new app based around using shed space
Vickie Glenn’s glowing little dream cabin in winter
We also like Kim Fletcher’s dream. She says, “Oh my, so many ideas! I would stock the pond with gold fish with a nice swinging bench looking at the pond. The arbor would have wisteria and trumpet vine for the hummingbirds. The little garden to the left would be filled with Zinnias of all sizes and colors!
The flower bed to the right would be full of all kinds of wildflowers and all sizes of sunflowers. The path to the little cottage would be lined with pale purple and yellow flowers spaced out just so. The path would be made of different shapes and sizes of flat slate with moss in between the cracks.
The cottage would painted a pale yellow with light lavender shutters on the windows. And pale purple flowers would be planted around the cottage with some yellows here and there.
The inside would be a guest house and my retreat to have a cup of coffee or a glass of iced tea or fresh squeezed lemonade on a hot day,… sitting in a comfy chair reading a book or a news paper with no interruptions! It would be decorated in pale sage and pale lavender with some pale yellow.
It would be quaintly furnished with a distressed metal framed bed, side tables, a comfy love seat, a comfy chair, and table and chairs for two. On the table would be antique lighting with books and papers of interest. And . Also small old frig, water cooler, coffee maker, bisquits, cracker’s, homemade jellys and jams. Oh I forgot a small table with a Victrola. I think that sounds like a wonderful retreat, don’t you?”
