Karyn Courter joined in our recent Project Challenge, starting with a shabby old piano,…an up right. What she came up with is downright fabulous! A wine bar!
Karyn’s old piano sacrifices its strings to become a beautiful wine bar.. Rich and fine grained underneath, she stripped off the old varnish and stained and varnished the piano, wine racks and all the saved wine corks. Stemware racks were added to the top and wine corks line the entire back.
This piano bar could be for indoors or on an outdoor patio. We are absolutely in love with how this wine bar turned out!
Karyn’ cut the corks in half length-wise so they’d lie flat and the labels would show. That’s a LOT of corks!
The pattern of the wine corks just ‘makes’ it! It has a warm welcoming feel and just right for serving guests. Extra cool factor? There’s room under the the keyboard for dozens of wine bottles!
