When they became friends on Flea Market Gardening and realized that they were all within driving distance, Sandy Bridenbaugh, of Laura, Ohio, Tonya Fennig, from Indiana, Lisa Collier, of Kentucky and Jeanie Merritt, of Ohio, planned a ‘Meet-up’ last Fall to stroll around Sandy’s gardens and gift shop, having a wonderful time. They became instant good friends!
Jeanie says, “A few weeks ago we planned another get together, this time at Lisa’s home in the rolling hills of Kentucky. Tonya Fennig and I packed up and headed south, this time to stay an entire weekend. Sandy was moving so didn’t make this trip.”
”Being early Spring, we enjoyed fueling our creative spirits by working on projects in Lisa’s newly decorated craft room.”
“We went antiquing and junk shopping in a nearby town, where I found the base for a new Flea Market gardening style birdbath.”
“We came upon this old covered bridge and truck while we were out and about on our tour of the beautiful scenic hills of Kentucky . This watering can had my name on it..I bought the crystal at the same shop”
“We enjoyed cooking together, and relaxed on Lisa’s front porch chatting about our plans for this year’s gardens. All the while, we were delighted by the sights and sounds of an assortment of birds at her feeders.”
”Thank you, Flea Market Gardening for bringing together four friends who just happen to like rust, junk, and getting their hands dirty! Trip #3 is in the making!” Jeanie says.
Have you ever made a friend online? One that you’ve never met? Actually making plans to meet, ‘in real life,’ is something that surprisingly few do! But,…at Flea Market Gardening,…this is becoming a common occurrence since we’re such a friendly group. Facebook allows us to chat several times and day, leading to real friendships and our common passion for Flea Market finds, junk and gardening brings us together. For fun!
The friends meet for the first time ‘in real life.’
