Annie’s lit-up bottle tree for the garden

Garden Junk, How to: Easy project ideas

A dazzling bottle tree for night time gardens

Just a simple project to add another dimension to your bottle trees…  Lighting them with string lights! Here you’ll see how Annie Steen, who lives and gardens in Pennsylvania, constructed her bottle tree, and lit it up.  It was some work to add the light into each bottle but you’ll see that this lighting was definitely worth it!

Annie used a collection of old Jameson bottles for her tree, places by the pond behind her ‘primitive’ art studio, Pondside Primitives

.  She admits that it was a challenge to painstakingly poke the string of lights into each bottle and then replace it carefully on the metal bars, but, oh, what a brilliant effect she got!
