To celebrate the Winter season, we’ve collected some of the most inspiring “Winter” photos ever posted here on our page in three years.
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
to watch his woods fill up with snow…
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
but I have promises to keep, and
miles to go before I sleep, and
miles to go before I sleep.~ Robert Frost
What your Winter garden wardrobe needs Is a pop of color!
“We are given memories so that we might have roses in December.”
– J. M. Barrie
Frosty-white and cold it lies
Underneath the fretful skies;
Snowflakes flutter where the red
Banners of the poppies spread,
And the drifts are wide and deep
Where the lilies fell asleep.Lucy Maud Montgomery
A Winter Sunset
The frosty sky, like a furnace burning,
The keen air, crisp and cold,
And a sunset that splashes the clouds with gold
But my heart to summer turning.Lord Alfred Douglas
“December’s wintery breath is already clouding the pond, frosting the pane, obscuring summer’s memory…”
― John Geddes
In a few blinks you can almost see the winter fairies moving in . . .
But first, you hear the crackle of their wings.”
― Vera Nazarian
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.Robert Frost

Is your garden as attractive in the snow as it is in the summer? Four tips!
TIP #1 – Make your winter garden visible from inside your house.
TIP #2 – Put your winter garden close enough to your house to see the details of it from inside.
TIP #3 – Emphasize the areas that you walk through in the winter.
TIP #4– Choose some color to stand out against a bare landscape.

I have never seen snow in person, and now that I’m in my 60’s, don’t think I can handle it! These photos are just so breathtakingly beautiful, I think I might just have to make a winter vacation up north someday soon! Thank you for sharing all of them, and Happy New Year!
