Using old cast off materials in nothing new to a Flea Market Gardener. Weathered shutters are found on trash day, at yard sales and at Flea Markets or thrift stores. Here is what our creative crew has done with old shutters in the garden.
What fairy could resist settling onto a cozy bench, next to a tiny house surrounded by tiny flowers? Create magical memories, while making a fairy garden with a child that will thrill them and spur their imaginings of make-believe worlds. Tiny plants can create the effect of a small forest or a mossy lawn, echoing Nature’s grander landscapes. Add a snug house or fairy door leading into a tree stump and you can expect the fairies to soon arrive!

Galvanized tubs containers combined with ‘tipsy pots’ is a genius idea and two of our favorite things at Flea Market Gardening!
Annie Steen has ‘upped the ante’ with her galvanized ‘tipsy pots’ and has added water flowing from the middle tub pouring into a little stream that flows into her pond.
…using cast off materials, …bed posts, silverware, bottles and wire.
Having a dragonfly in your garden must be a beautiful thing, in fact, each of these folks have taken this creature and made a different creation, each one unique hopefully to symbolize positivity in their gardens.
One reason these are the most popular is that they are things you can make for your garden,…one of our favorite creative things to do. What will be your next project?
