My Big Garden Project, Shelters and Buildings

Ann’s Lady Lounge- Let’s go inside!

Part 3  A Flea Market Gardening ‘My Big Project’ story!

In the last couple months, we’ve been reading about Ann Elias’s big project….her garden building made from an old outdated metal framed gazebo.  What she ended up with is definitely “Upcycled!”  Now, she has a real playhouse,…a room of her own, like every woman needs.  So far we have seen how it was built in Part 1 here and the exterior finishes in Part two here.  Now, she lets us peek inside…..

Peeking into Ann’s Lady’s Lounge…

During the Winter, Ann worked on her Grandma’s furniture, transforming it with Annie Sloan’s chalk paints.  Ann says, “I am working on my Grandmas old’ sofa table. I did that piece in Duck Egg Blue. I was just buffing it…and it is beautiful. I think she would approve of it. It will find a place in my living room when it is done.”

Wouldn’t we all like a display place for all our favorite treasures?  Ann has one now!  She says, “My Lounge will be filled with garden treasures of the past and garden art we are going to be selling.  It will be a place to sit and look at garden books…sip a tea…or just to sit and look at my garden. I am going to make time to do that.  I promise!”

So, if we were to be invited inside Ann’s new Lady’s Lounge, this is what we’d see…

Thanks, Ann, for sharing your big project with us. It’s been so inspiring and I’m sure some of us will be following your example.  A garden room of one’s own is a dream for many of us!  Watch on our page for more on Ann’s garden activities in future! ~~ Sue
