See Jane garden….with annuals and perennials

Flea Market Gardening with annuals and perennials

Jane Krauter loves gardening! And she is a wonderful photographer.  Those two activities together, combined with her talent for creating  garden ‘still lifes’ with her photos, tell the story of her garden in California.  Jane has a large garden on level ground with curving lines and planting areas that she changes from time to time. You’ll see she has a few recycled  and rustic treasures she sprinkles in to ‘decorate.’

Let’s peek in at her gardening progress…

Renovated garden area

Jane says, “I was excited about having a tree & large bush pruned. Now I’m wondering; WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO?  I’ll be busy digging up roots, laying drip-lines, etc. I have no idea where to start with the plants & flowers.”

Nursery shopping is one of my favorite things…then planting…

Three flats of flowers! These were such a good deal, I’m on my way to get more!

Tipper,…so tired from helping with the planting…

The next month…

…One early morning, Jane goes out to the garden like she often does,…in her robe!  Jane!

“Do you get busy and lose your morning coffee?” Jane asks.

“Deadheading & seed collection done early morning while it’s nice and cool..”

“It was a potting and deadheading kinda day.”

Weeding day

What IS a weed, anyway?

“It doesn’t take much to distract me…’Hi, Mr Praying Mantis!'”

What a mess! Three hours of weeding didn’t put a dent in it, says Tipper.

A planning and planting day…

“Busy day, planning a big party in my garden,” Jane says.

Meet Squirrelly…supervising Spring planting….

Crossed a few things off that list,…party tomorrow

Jane had a garden party for her church women’s group which has a Facebook page, NewCovWomen.  I hear it was loads of fun!

Jane’s pretty garden

Thanks, Jane for a glimpse of your hard work in the garden….we’re not tired at all!

See Jane! She says, “Lots of help pulling out the white Zinnias & planting blue Violas”
