					<description><![CDATA[My daughter passed away suddenly at age 35 just two weeks ago. I have already been given a birdhouse in her memory. I have a small side garden outside my office that I plan to make into a memory garden for her and her son that died at birth. It has been comforting to read of others thoughts on the joy of gardening and its healing powers. This Spring will have significant meaning as I add new plants given to me in her memory and add some calla lilies, her favorite flower.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[The first time I saw this, I scanned over it.  You know... in too big a hurry with life and all of the things that keep us busy. Then, I sat down to rest... AND REST I DID!!!!  With no radio or t.v. on and the only sound  that of a gentle hum the computer I began reading these stories. Stories that warmed my heart as if I could hear each individual&#039;s voice as they took turns telling of their losses and how gardening touched their souls and ultimately brought some inner comfort and peace. It wasn&#039;t long before I could feel a tear roll down my face and my heart when out to each individual that told their story.  Thanks to all who shared. I am sure for many of you, it wasn&#039;t easy.I find myself many, many times sitting in my white rocking chair on the porch in the summertime, listening to the birds and drinking in the aroma with both my nose and my eyes of the awesome plants and blossoms around me and I am thankful for this thing called&quot; gardening&quot; that indeed is a beauty and a &quot;healer&quot; , as you have all shared as well. I have always appreciated the splendor of the gardens, but now they mean even a little more....Thank you Sue for offering this opportunity to those who in sharing, have done a little healing for others as well.]]></description>
